In honor of cancer prevention month, we are featuring a new cancer prevention “short” each week. These short videos will focus on topics related to cancer prevention and screening.

Dr. Vachani discusses lung cancer risk, prevention and the current recommendations for lung cancer screening.

About the presenter

Anil Vachani, MD is a Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Divisions. Dr. Vachani is the director of the Lung Nodule Program at Penn Medicine.

    1. Hey David, It might be a good idea to reach out to your primary care provider to get the process started. You and your provider can start a discussion about what testing would be best.

  2. My Mom and two Aunts died of lung Cancer. My brother is dyeing of liver cancer and another Uncle died of blood cancer. I was a smoker up until the age of 25. I am 50 years old and every now and again can hear a tiny wheeze in my lungs. Is there a way I can check for lung cancer
